So, I totally meant to write a post earlier today after I got home from work. But alas, I must admit that I got distracted. For much longer than I intended.
I burned things!
No, not in real life, or because it was just that cold in our apartment. I ended up watching my entire afternoon go up in flames with Little Inferno, a fun little puzzle game I picked up from one of the Humble Bundles.
I must say, it’s not quite what I expected. But then again, I didn’t really know what to expect. You buy things, and then you burn them. This gives you more money, which lets you buy more, different things to burn. I guess you could call it a puzzle game, since you unlock more catalogs of stuff by burning certain things at the same time.
The story (such as it is) is also fun. Apparently the “Little Inferno” is a small fireplace aimed and advertised to kids, where they can burn all their existing toys to stay warm. It’s darkly humorous, and all the characters seem more than a little unhinged. But then, what else did you expect in a game about pyromaniacs?
So yeah. What started out as a diversion of a few minutes only ended when my girlfriend got home from work and we had to eat dinner. It’s a fun little time-waster, and I can easily recommend it. It’s only $10 on their website, and is available on a number of platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, Wii U) for all your childish, destructive needs!
Don’t worry, a real post is coming tomorrow.
